As a Hardscape Laborer, you will contribute to the construction and maintenance of outdoor spaces by performing tasks such as shoveling, carrying heavy materials, and raking. Working closely with a team of hardscape professionals, you will contribute to the successful execution of landscape construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Shoveling: Execute shoveling tasks to clear debris, level surfaces, and prepare work areas for hardscape installation.
Carrying: Assist in the transportation of heavy materials such as bricks, stones, and pavers to designated work areas, ensuring timely delivery and organization.
Raking: Utilize rakes to spread and level materials like gravel, sand, and soil, ensuring even surfaces and proper drainage for hardscape features.
Support Installation: Provide support to hardscape professionals during the installation process, including laying bricks, stones, or pavers according to design specifications.
Safety Compliance: Always adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of equipment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, address challenges, and ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines.
Site Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including routine cleanup of debris and equipment storage, to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in hardscape installation preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on the job.
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), perform repetitive tasks, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
