LPN Med Room Manager

Immediate opening for a LPN, to manage the Medication Room in a 76 bed NYSDOH Licensed Assisted Living Facility in Hawthorne, NY which caters primarily to the mental health population.

Position Description:

The successful candidate will have the ability to provide leadership and supervision to the medication aides.

This is a full time salaried position, Monday – Friday, day shift. No weekends. No holidays.

Qualifications:

*Must have 2 years experience working with mental health and/or medication administration

*Current NYS LPN License

*Caring attitude towards those in need of care.

*The ability to motivate and evaluate paraprofessional personnel.

*Leadership abilities in management of the paraprofessional team.

Responsibilities:

*Ensure safe and adequate services to each resident.

*Manage and oversee the Medication Management Program.

*Assist with the administration of medication to the residents in the absence of the medication aide.

*Communicate and coordinate care with Physicians.

*Assist in the supervision of the Direct Care Staff.

*Maintain strict confidentiality of information.
