INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PARALEGAL

Intellectual Property Paralegal

Premier boutique intellectual property law firm is looking for a Paralegal with Intellectual Property or Patent Law experience to join the team! Assist in the management, maintenance, and organization of case-specific documents and information. Assist Attorneys, Senior Paralegals and Litigation Technology professionals in preparation for depositions, hearings, document productions, and trials.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support Attorneys with supportive/administrative tasks
• Maintain litigation files
• Prepare case notebooks/binders
• Prepare deposition binders/exhibits
• Compile documents and/or case law in response to attorney requests
• Assist with logging of important case documents
• Assist with all aspects of deposition logistics
• Run case related errands, i.e. run to court, etc.
• Trial and/or hearing site support and associated travel, as necessary

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor's Degree required
• A minimum of 3 year of paralegal experience in Intellectual Property or Patent Law
• Excellent organization, strong written and oral communication skills, STRONG attention to detail
• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively, often times in high pressure, deadline-driven situations
• Strong organizational, investigative, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
• Adhere to firm and case confidentiality requirements
• Ability to to exercise judgment, work independently as well as part of a team, and follow instructions on complex projects
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn the trade of a paralegal
• Commitment to work overtime as needed, many times on short notice
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat, including use of advanced features
• Effectively communicate with the legal team, including other paralegals, Associates, and Partner on case matters
