Shipping Supervisor

Competitive pay $19.00-$21.00 an hour

The position is in Houston, Texas 77051
Monday-Friday 2:00pm-1:00am

Our client, one of the largest line pipe distributors in the United States is looking for a reliable Shipping Lead.

As a Shipping Lead, you will manage day to day reports of orders needed to ship for the day, tend to drivers and utilize the systems to identify which orders must be loaded, and ensure motor freight shipments are being routed in a timely manor.

What You Will Do:

Ensure all department equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)
Effectively communicates with department supervisors and upper management. Utilizes email to communicate with Receiving, Front Office, and Sales Departments.
Manages Daily operational reports to identify workload and utilize OT as needed.
Coordinates with Sales on any request, priority levels, and any issues that may arise.
Coordinates with Logistics on outbound shipments (flatbeds, Motor freight, hot shots, etc.).

What You Need:

High School Diploma or GED
3 year of PVF experience
Bilingual Spanish preferred
Able to read specifications, charts, and tables
Basic computer skills
Ability to operate a forklift and heavy equipment
Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
