Job Description

Company in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area is in need of a mechanic who would be learning to operate, maintain, and repair dredging equipment.

Candidate requirements:

Mechanical experience, specifically experience working on boats or heavy equipment.
Mechanical inclination in general
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
Analytical and use of logic to address work-related issues and problems.
Willingness to take directions and follow instructions from supervisors.
Curiosity and interest in learning new skills.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Operating, maintaining, and repairing machinery
Lubricating and adjusting mechanical equipment
Performing routine inspections and mechanical repairs
Diagnose and troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions
Accomplish medium to heavy repairs with some supervision
Perform routine maintenance, complete repairs, and test equipment as needed
Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Follow all company and work site safety policies and procedures
