Visit Nurse

BrightStar Home Health of Pinellas County is hiring a PRN Nurse to perform home healthcare visits throughout Pinellas County.

We are NOT a Medicare agency; your paperwork is fairly basic and short! We are looking for a reliable, hard-working nurse with a history of job longevity.

Duties:
~ Teach clients how to infuse medications
~ Perform wound care
~ Give injections
~ Complete drug studies
~ Provide disease-process teaching to clients and their families (diabetes, COPD, HTN, etc.).
~ Perform supervisory duties to field staff
~ Rotate clinical on-call services (must be available on some evenings and weekends)

Requirements, Education, and Experience:
~ Successful completion of an RN program
~ Active Florida Nursing License
~ Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN in a home health setting
~ Traveling throughout Pinellas County is required; must be willing to drive
~ Ability to pass AHCA Level 2 Background Screening, public record background check, driving record check, and drug test
~ CPR
~ Self-directing with the ability to work under little direct supervision
~ Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills
~ Ability to express spoken and written ideas in English
~ Empathy for the needs of the client
~ Treat clients, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect; work as a team member
~ Present a positive public image
~ Ensure confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information
~ Proficiency with computer skills and organizational skills
