Automotive Technician

We are currently seeking ​an Automotive Technician to become an integral part of our team! Looking for qualified technicians for transmission R&R, Transmission rebuilders, and general repair Technicians. Monday through Friday NO Saturdays or Sundays. Pay will be based on your ability.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test vehicles for necessary adjustments
• Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, such as engine problems, transmission issues, and brake malfunctions
• Fix vehicles correctly the first time
• Conduct inspections and tests to identify any potential problems or safety concerns
• Use diagnostic equipment to analyze vehicle systems and identify issues
• Align and balance wheels to ensure proper vehicle performance
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an automotive technician in a shop
• Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and powertrain components
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for automotive repair tasks
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Solid mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicles

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Certification in Automotive Technology or related field is preferred but not required
