Completions Engineer

The Completions Engineer will work directly with the CTO and the rest of the leadership team to lead our technology's equipment designing, optimization, and field operation planning and execution in the geothermal and unconventional resources sectors. This individual will be responsible for optimizing our downhole equipment design, completion procedures, and drafting our operational guidelines. The role will require knowledge of well operations, completion operations, oil and gas operations, and geothermal systems.

• Work with the companys CTO as needed to optimize the downhole equipment design and conveyance systems
• Support with all efforts for equipment design and manufacturing (including simulations if applicable)

• Monitor all aspects of well completion operations & bring forward innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency or increase well inflow performance.

• Perform engineering studies with multiple disciplines to improve completion operational performance

• Provide completion engineering technical support to our operation teams

• Draft the planning and execution of field operations for our technology

• Draft and maintain the field intervention operations

• Evaluate completion operations - investigate, diagnose and mitigate NPT and inefficiency.

• Apply casing and well design skills, possess competency in well design software.

• Provide field support during high-profile operations, and provide relief supervision as needed

• Perform post-analysis of executed jobs and benchmark the results.

• Work with service companies to develop "fit-for-purpose" technology that is engineered specifically to our needs

• Ensure completion programs, program amendments, and operational SOPs are adequately risk-assessed

• Mentor less experienced engineers assess training needs of asset team engineers and coordinate training

• Become a subject matter expert in our technology and assist the team in all aspects of hydraulic fracking, field experiment planning, and commercialization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in petroleum engineering
• Five or more years of experience as a completions, production, or drilling engineer
• Hydraulic frac modeling experience and understanding
• Torque and drag, wireline modeling experience
• Experience creating a completion design for an oil or gas well or geothermal well
• Experience in frac optimization related to resource play completions
• Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
• Willingness and ability to travel to field locations as needed
• Ability to work in USA
