Outpatient Therapist (LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT)

Job Description: Outpatient Therapist (In-Person)   

This position's job status will be a 1099-Contractor.  

Location: San Antonio, TX

Job Responsibilities/Duties:  

• Be able to schedule a minimum of 25 clients per week.   
• Clinician must be available to lead therapy groups in addition to seeing individual clients  
  (additional compensation will be provided for group therapy).  
• Be available to schedule evening hours 1-2 days per week for either evening groups or evening counseling sessions.  
• Utilize evidenced-based therapy interventions using various modalities.  
• Establish treatment plans, goals and objectives for each client and document treatment plan updates.  
• Able to treat a variety of mental health concerns. 
• Be able to complete documentation within 48 hours of appointments.  
• Per state licensure and/or certification requirements, participate in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in one’s professional specialty.  
• Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family members as appropriate.  
• Willing to seek and use consultation from peers and leadership for difficult clinical cases per State of Texas licensure requirements.  
• Attends required facility trainings and meetings.  

Competencies:  

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions  
• Knowledge of ethical code and BHEC standards in the state of Texas  
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple client populations  
• Knowledge of requirements of mandated reporting  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills  
• Knowledge of crisis assessment and intervention strategies  
• Strong working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records  
• Motivation to grow and increase knowledge within the field  

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Master’s degree or higher in mental health-related field  
• Must possess a current Texas State mental health license in LPC, LCSW, LMFT, and LMSW (LMSW must be working under supervision towards LCSW) 
• Experience with special populations (children, adolescents, veterans, etc.)
