The Electrical Maintenance Technician will:
Perform regular and preventative maintenance on installed electromechanical equipment and effectively troubleshoot complex problems associated with electromechanical machinery and systems.
Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair.
Be a valued member of the maintenance team, interacting with production, industrial maintenance, and cross-functionally to ensure reliability of equipment, service, safety, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Three plus years’ electrical maintenance experience in heavy industrial environment.
Strong knowledge and experience with industrial electronics, AC/DC theory, power transmission, test instruments and instrumentation, VFD’s, PLC’s, ladder logic, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction.
Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of industrial equipment using schematic diagrams and equipment manuals as guides.
Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation.
Great teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent work experience.
Steel industry experience.
Welding and light fabrication experience.
Experience with industrial communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet).
Experience with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control loops and combustion controls.
Basic understanding of mechanical devices.
Strong communication skills and familiarity working in a team-based environment.
Safety awareness training.
