Job Description

Centennial is seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead IPM Food Pantry, driving strategic vision and operational effectiveness. Collaborating closely with staff and the board, you'll develop and implement strategic plans and budgets aligned with their mission, ensuring adherence to core values and fiscal responsibility. You'll drive innovation, fortify existing initiatives, and cultivate new pathways, requiring strategic acumen, strong leadership, and unwavering dedication to the organizations mission.


The right candidate will possess these key competencies: leadership, financial management, effective communication, relationship-building, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving. Youll lead a team towards goals, ensure financial sustainability, and foster transparency.


Compensation range $95,000 - $110,000, potential bonus 18%.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Spearhead collaborative efforts to develop strategic plans and annual budgets alongside staff and board members, ensuring alignment with the organizations mission
  • Uphold the organization's mission and values in all programs and policies, while maintaining fiscal responsibility and sustainability
  • Work closely with the team to strengthen existing programs, innovate new initiatives, and ensure efficient management
  • Translate Board priorities and executive limitations into actionable strategies outlined in the strategic plan and budget
  • Assist in identifying and recruiting diverse Board members to further enhance the organization's mission
  • Provide regular updates to the Board on organizational performance towards achieving its vision
  • Ensure operational excellence by collaborating with operations leadership to streamline day-to-day operations and outreach programs
  • Maintain high-quality services to enhance satisfaction among beneficiaries
  • Lead recruitment, supervision, motivation, and evaluation of staff, fostering their professional development
  • Oversee facility maintenance and workplace safety protocols to ensure the well-being of staff, clients, and volunteers
  • Maintain accurate agency record-keeping practices
  • Cultivate community relationships to bolster support, engage donors, and strengthen partnerships
  • Diversify funding sources, including grants, to sustain operational and strategic objectives
  • Develop innovative strategies to secure significant and ongoing funding sources
  • Oversee financial operations, budgetary processes, and financial controls in collaboration with the Treasurer and external bookkeeper
  • Serve as a credible spokesperson for IPM, enhancing visibility through effective communication
  • Advocate for the needs of those served by the organization, building positive awareness and reputation
  • Expand IPM's involvement in addressing food insecurity and advocating for affected communities
  • Foster partnerships within the communities served by IPM to amplify impact and outreach efforts


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Five years of management level experience with evidence of increasing responsibility
  • An undergraduate degree in business or a related field
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors/ Trustees
  • Excellent public speaking ability and experience
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to address issues in nonpartisan and non-polarizing ways
  • Human resources management experience and ability
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds
  • Knowledge of poverty and hunger issues and supportive of the organizations mission
  • A hands-on worker willing to develop and execute a variety of activities ranging from the internal day-to-day, to the highly creative, external and visible
  • Flexibility to travel to off-site meetings and to work hours outside of a normal day
  • Strong analytical skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Credibility in the social services community with a broad knowledge of current issues and trends
  • Two consecutive years of senior administrative experience
  • Proven successful experience in grant writing/fund development
  • Experience managing a budget $3,000,000 or greater
