Outpatient Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LCSW-S, LMFT) - In-Person/Hybrid

Job Description: Outpatient Therapist

For this position, specialization in trauma therapy is preferred but not required.

This position's job status will be a 1099-Contractor.

Location: New Braunfels, TX

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Be able to schedule a minimum of 25 clients per week.
• Must have flexibility to schedule hours after 5pm at least once per week to accommodate client needs.
• Utilize evidenced-based therapy interventions using various modalities.
• Establish treatment plans, goals and objectives for each client and document treatment plan updates.
• Able to treat a variety of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to grief and family conflict
• Be able to complete documentation within 48 hours of appointments.
• Per state licensure and/or certification requirements, participate in continuing education and professional development activities related to the performance of job functions and maintenance of skills in one's professional specialty.
• Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family members to efficiently address assessment concerns.
• Willing to seek and use consultation from peers and leadership for difficult clinical cases per State of Texas licensure requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to complete therapy trainings (EMDR, RRT, ART)

Competencies:

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions
• Knowledge of ethical code and BHEC standards in the state of Texas
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple client populations

• Knowledge of requirements of mandated reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of crisis assessment and intervention strategies
• Strong working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
• Motivation to grow and increase knowledge within the field

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in mental health-related field
• Must possess a current Texas State mental health license in LPC, LPC-A, LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-S LMFT
• Experience with special populations (children, adolescents, veterans, etc.)
• Trained in CPT, DBT, EMDR, and/or other trauma-focused therapy modalities.
