Lead Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at a state-of-the-art, 24/7 distribution warehouse in Lenexa, KS.

Right now we are offering a night shift. In this job, you will maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and related electrical and mechanical equipment. This includes troubleshooting basic power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.

In order to promote safe work practices, you will implement and follow preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely training. You’ll also get the opportunity to mentor other technicians by motivating them and providing guidance and direction in order to achieve team goals.

Education and Experience Required:

• You will possess basic knowledge of PLC programs and will be able to troubleshoot problems related to relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components (photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, servo drives, etc.).
• You will also have at least 4 years of experience in electrical/electronic principles and be able to read electrical schematics.
• In addition, you’ll need 4 years of experience with PLC programs and automated conveyor systems and controls and some previous experience with CMMS programs.
• You will need to have advanced knowledge of electrical components and their function in a control system, including the use of compressors and other pneumatic devices.
• We also require a high school diploma or equivalent.
