Stauffer Glove & Safety is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in Red Hill, Pennsylvania. This individual must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have exceptional problem solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Essential Functions

The customer service representative position is responsible for all daily activities within the customer service department including but not limited to servicing customers, order entry, researching order or customer issues. Processing RMAs, credits, and backorders.

  • Maintaining all normal customer service responsibilities and order entry tasks.
  • Follow up with the distribution team on backordered shipments and follow up with the customer on the status of orders.
  • Process all related customer orders that result in RMAs, billings, credits, and rebills.
  • Escalate any customer issues to manager or lead.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role requires sitting for long periods of time and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, check machines, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. No travel is required.

The physical demands described are requirements that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Frequently is required to stand and walk; Ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk.
  • Frequent use of hands to operate the computer and phone

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer proficient and demonstrate experience working in a Microsoft Office Suite environment.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum demonstrated experience of 2 or more years working in a customer service or order entry position.
  • Minimum demonstrated experience of 2 or more years working within a high-volume order processing environment. Specifically, working in an industrial distribution environment is also preferred.
