The Team

We build and own the delivery of AssureID Sentinel and AcuFill desktop applications, which are part of GBG's Documents and Biometrics product portfolio. We are a cross functional team who pride ourselves on our collaborative spirit. We value every team member's expertise, and each member contributes to our collective success. Our daily work follows Agile methodology, placing a strong emphasis on automation.

The Role & What you will do

As an accomplished and dynamic Engineering Manager, you will spearhead a team of Software and QA engineers based in the USA and Israel. You will actively recruit, nurture, and integrate new talent to bolster our expanding presence in the USA.#

In addition to offering technical guidance, your role involves overseeing all product engineering efforts within your domain. With your adept people management skills, you'll foster a culture of high engagement and performance among team members, driving towards collective success.

Your duties include providing clear technical direction, mentoring team members to foster their growth, and cultivating a collaborative environment. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, all while actively seeking opportunities for process optimization and innovation.

Your leadership, problem-solving prowess, and adaptability will be critical assets in navigating challenges and steering the team toward success in our dynamic environment.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

You will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a deep comprehension of business objectives. You will embody the following characteristics:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading and managing distributed software engineering teams, with a history of delivering projects punctually. Exceptional skills in motivating and inspiring team members to achieve peak performance.
  • Technical Proficiency: A robust background in software engineering coupled with mastery of relevant technologies, programming languages, and engineering best practices. Demonstrated ability to offer technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and make informed decisions regarding architectural designs and software development processes.
  • Hands-on Mentoring and Coaching: Experience in nurturing and coaching team members to facilitate their growth and skill development. Proficient in supporting individual career progression plans and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in identifying and resolving intricate technical issues using a logical and analytical approach. Capable of making data-driven decisions to address challenges effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Collaboration and Team Building: Proven experience in cultivating a collaborative and inclusive team culture, fostering effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to accomplish shared objectives.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adept at navigating uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A commitment to continuous improvement, constantly seeking opportunities to optimize processes, enhance team performance, and foster innovation within the organization
