The objective of the Accounting Specialist is to support the office and accounting group. Day-to-day assignments will vary and the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize needs to ensure the office is running smoothly and following company processes.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process credit card transactions and employee expense reports, coordinating with employees and service providers as necessary.
- Retrieve accounting-related reports from multiple sources including banks, accounting software, credit card portals, and direct emails, and enter the appropriate transactions represented on those reports in the accounting records.
- Serve as backup receptionist- answer telephones, open and log mail, meet and greet visitors, and assist in other clerical functions; may arrange travel and meetings occasionally.
ASSIST WITH THE FOLLOWING TASKS AS NEEDED
- Filing tasks associated with customer payments.
- Perform light clerical duties and assistance to office personnel.
- Other duties as assigned or as the position evolves.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-4 years’ experience in an office environment, accounting department experience preferred
- Excellent customer service
- Able to communicate effectively with employees of all levels.
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel
COMPENSATION:
$39,000-$55,000 depending on ability and experience.
