Pharmacy Technician Instructor

Job Summary

Northwest Career College is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician Instructor for the 2024 calendar year who must have a minimum of three years of work experience in a hospital pharmacy setting as a licensed Pharmacy Technician or as a pharmacist.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Teach pharmacy technician courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus and as directed by the program supervisor.
• Assist students with difficult concepts in tutoring sessions.
• Grade student lab activities and practical examinations.
• Maintain a daily record of student attendance.
• Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
• Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code
• Communicate effectively with diverse populations, both verbally and in writing
• Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and job-related duties as assigned.

Experience

• REQUIRED: 3+ years of non-overlapping experience in the pharmacy field
• REQUIRED: 1+ years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques

License/Certification

• REQUIRED: Current Pharmaceutical Technician License, Intern Pharmacist License, or Pharmacist License.
• PREFERRED: ExCPT, CPhT

Education

• REQUIRED: high school diploma or equivalent

  • Monday: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m./ 8 a.m. - 7 p.m./ 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m./ 8 a.m. - 7 p.m./ 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m./ 8 a.m. - 7 p.m./ 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Thursday: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m./ 8 a.m. - 7 p.m./ 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Friday-Sunday: Off
