Lighthouse Lab Services is the leading provider of Medical Lab Scientists in the country. We are currently looking for a Medical Lab Scientist / MLS to join a health care system in Wenatchee, WA. There is a $10,000 sign on bonus for this position

SHIFT: Day shift, 4 days per week / 10 hour shifts (rotating weekends)

Job Overview:

As a Medical Technologist Generalist, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples. This includes blood, urine, and other body fluids, as well as tissues, to provide accurate and timely information to healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sample Collection and Processing:

    • Collect, label, and process patient samples in adherence to established protocols.
    • Ensure proper handling and transportation of specimens to maintain sample integrity.
  2. Laboratory Testing:

    • Perform various laboratory tests, including clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and blood banking.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  3. Quality Control:

    • Conduct routine quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and precision of laboratory test results.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot any deviations from established quality standards.
  4. Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory procedures, test results, and quality control data.
    • Prepare reports and summaries for healthcare professionals.
  5. Compliance and Safety:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  6. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, pathologists, and other members of the healthcare team to interpret and communicate laboratory results.
  7. Continuous Learning:

    • Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and medical science.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is highly preferred.

Salary:

  • Salary: $28-$45/hour depending on experience
