Locum Pharmacist – Bakersfield, CA

08/17/2026 – 10/11/2026 | Up to $96/hour | 40 Hours/Week

Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a Locum Pharmacist for a full-time night shift assignment. This is an auto-offer opportunity for qualified candidates with recent Epic experience.

Position Details:

  • Location: Bakersfield, CA

  • Assignment: 08/17/2026 – 10/11/2026

  • Schedule: Night Shift, 40 hours/week (4x10s)

  • Compensation: Up to $96/hour

  • Setting: 254-bed acute care hospital

  • EMR: Recent Epic experience (within the last 12 months) required

Requirements:

  • Active California Pharmacist license

  • Recent Epic experience within the last 12 months required

  • Inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred

  • PharmD preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense medication orders

  • Monitor medication therapies for safety and effectiveness

  • Provide clinical pharmacy support and drug information

  • Identify and resolve medication-related issues

  • Participate in medication management and quality improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient care

Additional Information:

  • Every other weekend required

  • On-call responsibilities for certain scheduled shifts

  • Vaccination requirements apply per facility policy
