Job description

A dynamic opportunity awaits for a Clinical Pharmacist interested in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care across multiple acute care settings. This permanent role is based in the scenic State College area of Pennsylvania, home to Penn State University, with relocation assistance available to help candidates transition smoothly.
This position offers the unique chance to broaden clinical expertise by working as a unit-based pharmacist in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as contributing to the antibiotic stewardship team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify medication orders and profiles for appropriateness.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services tailored to the specific patient populations within ED and CCU.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team-based patient care.
  • Perform drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults per established protocols.
  • Engage actively in acute patient care scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma situations.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or minimum three years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Out-of-state candidates without a PA license are encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
  • Variable days/afternoon shifts, primarily 8-hour day shifts.
Additional Information:
  • Pharmacy IT system: Meditech.
  • Competitive compensation ranging from $108,000 to $169,000 annually.
  • Relocation assistance offered on a case-by-case basis.

This role welcomes candidates licensed or soon-to-be licensed in Pennsylvania, including those currently practicing in other states such as Ohio, New York, Kentucky, Maryland, and beyond. Expand your clinical skills in an engaging environment that values versatility and professional growth.
Apply now to advance your pharmacy career in a rewarding, patient-focused setting!
