Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Various Milestone facilities (mainly ICF facility with potential travel)

Responsibilities:

Evaluation:

• Utilize assessment tools to evaluate individuals' occupational therapy needs.
• Set goals and formulate intervention plans tailored to each individual's status and needs.
• Reassess progress regularly and as determined by the interdisciplinary team.

Programming:

• Provide direct treatment to individuals based on evaluation findings.
• Conduct training sessions with staff to enhance individuals' functional skills.
• Complete accurate documentation in compliance with regulations.

Consultation:

• Conduct in-service training for supervisory, administrative, and direct care staff on occupational therapy techniques.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize individuals' functioning.
• Perform swallow screenings for new admissions to the facility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Illinois licensure as an occupational therapist.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as an occupational therapist.
• Prior experience in treating individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
