Sports Doctor Job Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
- Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
- Understand and know all Sports Orthopedic tests
- Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, to correct the musculoskeletal system.
- Know your Anatomy like the back of your hand.
- Obtain and record patients’ medical histories.
- Arrange for diagnostic x-rays/MRI's to be taken.
- Analyze digital imaging (MRI and Radiographs) to locate the sources of patients’ difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
- Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
- Educate patients on Movement and sports rehab
- Provide a patient with educational resources and a recommended course of treatment.
- Acupuncture
- Soft tissue CE is a PLUS
Education & Experience Requirements
- Doctorate of Chiropractic/Doctorate of Physical Therapy
- MUST have two or more years of experience in Sports Rehab
- Dry Needling (strongly preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited chiropractic program/Physical therapy program (DC/DPT)
- Current license as a chiropractor/physical therapist in the state of practice
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Malpractice Insurance
- Background in Strength and Conditioning (strongly preferred)
- Background in soft tissue management techniques (strongly preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
