Job description

Sports Reporter
The Quad-City Times/Dispatch-Argus in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a versatile team member for its sports department.
The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic writer to help us keep up with an area rich in top sports programs and come away with more than just a game story. The person must be excited to keep us ahead of the curve with our online components by embracing social media, including digital, photo and video components.
Responsibilities include covering a strong high school scene as well as local colleges, a PGA golf event, the Bix 7 Road Race and more.
The newsroom serves the Quad-Cities area with a population of 380,000. Davenport, located in Eastern Iowa, has an active downtown and numerous recreation opportunities.
