ANDERSEN INDUSTRIES  hiring Mig and, Tig Welders

Positions available for Fitters and Welders for both Mig and Tig Welding processes.

Requires 3 years of current welding experience working with precision sheet metal, plate and structural metals.  Must have a good working knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to demonstrate proficiency in Mig and Tig welding processes.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
• Must be able to set up and operate a Mig Welder, Tig Welder, flame cutting torch, plasma torch, drills, grinders and related equipment.
• Prep parts for fitting and welding.
• Fit and weld components per drawings and specifications using proper welding techniques for penetration, control of distortion, shrinkage and the appearance of the weldment.
• Uses forklifts and overhead cranes to move and position parts.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints relevant to the project.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Ability to use a calculator to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Able to handle physical workload.
• Work and get along well with others.
• Capable of applying common sense and an understanding of the task at hand and the willingness to react and respond positively to change.
• Must speak, read and comprehend written instructions and drawings in English.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will:
• Stand/walk, lift/pull/push for the majority of the scheduled shift.
• Hear well enough to communicate with coworkers.
• Climb, stoop, and kneel.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with 12 ft ladders.

Education and Experience

• High Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of current experience in sheet metal, plate and structural welding
• Welding Certification
