Job Description

We have an opening in our Tulsa office. The role of Empowerment & Engagement Manager requires a bachelors degree and a minimum combined 5 years experience operating in Culture & Engagement roles. Background and experience in internal communications. Previous experience of planning and delivering communication plans, campaigns, and projects. People manager experience and comfort with Executive leaders. Proven leadership and independence of thought/action. Capacity and desire to partner closely with Executive Leadership. Proven ability to recruit in a highly competitive environment and attract talent. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, produce excellent work results, and follow through on commitments.


The Salary for this position is $65,406.00 annually

Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, physical health care management and wellness services for over 5,000 children and adults annually. We are Oklahoma's only community mental health center certified in the Sanctuary model of care. Using this model, the agency provides trauma-informed care helping to create an environment of safety, identify and manage emotions, process loss and help clients create a future of growth and change. Due to tremendous growth, we are hiring an Empowerment & Engagement Manager at our Tulsa location. As a member of our CRS team, you will have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for our patients by delivering one-on-one clinical guidance and support.

Example of Position Responsibilities:

  • Support agency Leadership to define, build and grow the company culture.
  • Lead development, implementation, and assessment of strategies and programs to continuously improve engagement among our employees, contributing to a high performing organization linked to our values.
  • Support agency Leadership in communicating company values to internal staff.
  • Build strong internal networks and drive change management, communication, and leadership of Culture & Engagement initiatives.
  • Lead and manage internal engagement/pulse survey implementation, along with action planning and goal setting, ensuring the leadership team has access to insights that inform positive change.

  • Coach senior leaders on IE&D best practices and interfacing with HR and management teams to help foster a company climate that respects and values inclusion, diversity, and belonging among employees to build engagement and continually develop our culture of Sanctuary.

Communications & Employer Branding:

  • Develop and maintain internal publications such as newsletters, releases, email announcements, planned publications, on-line, intranet, video, special projects, and assignments.
  • Development, promotion and implementation of employer brand.
  • Support the HR function to develop engaging communications that reflect our employer brand and attract top talent to the organization.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Support with the development and implementation of the agency's recruitment strategy to attract and retain top talent.
  • Conduct all recruitment and hiring efforts for the agency.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, create job requisitions, and fill positions quickly with top talent.



Other Duties: Practice and promote the Sanctuary model seven commitments (nonviolence, emotional intelligence, social learning, open communication, social responsibility, democracy and growth and change), SELF, and Tools with staff and clients. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.


Physical Requirements: Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures/programs, enter data to various programs.
