Position: Outpatient Therapist (Full-time/Part-time)

 

Location: Charlotte, NC

 

Responsibilities:

 

Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive assessments to identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues. Utilize clinical expertise to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnosis and client needs.

 

Provide a range of therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to client needs.

 

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

 

Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

 

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and clinic policies.

 

Foster a compassionate and supportive environment that encourages clients' growth, resilience, and well-being.

 

Clinical Excellence: Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and motivational interviewing. Adapt therapeutic approaches to address a wide range of mental health issues, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care.

 

Collaborative Care: Engage in effective communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide integrated care. Participate in case conferences and team meetings, contributing valuable insights to enhance patient outcomes.

 

Patient Advocacy: Serve as a steadfast advocate for clients, guiding them through their treatment journey and connecting them with additional resources and services as needed to support their overall well-being.

 

Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning by staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health care. Participate in continuing education, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Resilience and flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of clients and the dynamics of mental health care.

Working Conditions:

 

Documentation and Compliance: Maintain meticulous and confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards.  Telehealth is available.

 

Qualifications:

 

Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Current, active licensure as a LCMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent in the state of NC.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient therapy or mental health services.

Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or others.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to the highest standards of patient confidentiality and care.

 

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
