Job Title: Dynamics Developer

Reports To: VP – IT Systems & Strategic Projects

Department: IT, Admin (10), Exempt

Location: Riverview

Summary of Primary Functions:

Dobbs Equipment is seeking a Lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer. This position will be responsible for designing and developing customized solutions within the Dynamics 365 platform. You will also work with business and technical personnel to provide application architecture, design, configuration, support, consultation services, and technical hardware/software project support, focusing on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. This job description does not include a complete listing of all the duties and functions of the position. Management reserves the right to assign other duties or projects as necessary.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Work directly with the Dynamics 365 team and the business to assist in documenting requirements and develop solutions using CRM Dynamics hosted in Azure
  • Adhere to industry standard best practices for software development and maintenance
  • Effectively present technical information to all level of staff and senior leadership
  • Troubleshoot production issues and recommends innovative and effective solutions
  • Perform hands-on technical implementation and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Solutions
  • Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage the client’s business process, customize built-in entities, create and customize Dynamics forms, create and maintain Dynamics business processes and workflows
  • Develop data conversion and testing strategies
  • Work with project management team to develop overall scope and work plan for implementing requirements
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective and efficient solutions that meet business requirements
  • Work with customers at all levels of technical ability by assisting them in the customization and development of CRM solutions
  • Quickly identify defects and their root cause during all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Work closely with customers to ensure implementation of system functions according to stakeholder needs
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective and efficient solutions that meet business requirements
  • Travels, when necessary, to remote or branch locations for all of the above.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Experience working with Dynamics portals
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience with creating & customizing CRM entities and Dynamic portals


Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 8+ years hands on experience in experience in customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 / CRM and .NET development using VB.NET, C# and other .NET programming languages
  • 8+ years of web development experience
  • Organization and communication skills must be highly developed.
  • Deep understanding of CRM capabilities and architecture and ability to determine the best approach as to when to employ out of the box configurations vs. custom development
  • Certifications - Finance & Operations App Solutions Architect Expert Certification (preferred)
  • Finance & Operations App Developer Associate Certification
  • Dynamics 365 Fundamentals Customer Engagement Apps Certification

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.


Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
