Job Responsibilities:
•Data Collection and Management:
  • Collect, organize, and maintain geographic data using GIS software and tools.
    • Update and verify existing geographic datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of GIS databases.

Spatial Analysis:
  • Conduct spatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within geographic data.
    • Generate maps, charts, and reports to communicate spatial analysis findings to team members and stakeholders.

Map Production:
  • Create high-quality maps for various purposes, including presentations, reports, and publications.
    • Customize map layouts and designs to effectively convey information to end-users.


Quality Assurance:
  • Perform quality assurance checks on GIS data and outputs to ensure data integrity and consistency.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues as needed.


Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with team members from different departments to understand their GIS needs and requirements.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather data requirements and provide GIS-related support and assistance.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience or coursework in GIS is preferred but not required.
