Job Description

InfraHire is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Akron, OH.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician is tasked with staying current on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.

Responsibilities:

Monitors the packaging line during production to ensure optimal efficiency by proactively addressing issues and maintaining operations within specified parameters.
Responds promptly to emergency repair needs during breakdown situations.
Reads, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and servicing tasks.
Completes work orders promptly while upholding high-quality standards.
Tracks parts inventory, outstanding purchase orders, and open work orders.
Ensures all essential information is documented according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintains machinery and mechanical equipment operation by fulfilling both planned and unplanned maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement with a continuous improvement mindset.
Adheres to all company equipment, safety, and OSHA regulations.
Supports departmental objectives for output and efficiency.
Maintains communication with other departments, management, and employees, notifying them of any issues or concerns that may impact production efficiency.
Conducts preventive maintenance on machines and maintains logs of completed work, machine breakdowns, as needed.

Qualifications:

At least two years of experience operating a vertical form, fill, and seal machine is required.
Proficiency in electrical systems, 480v, PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and stainless steel pipefitting and welding is essential.
Capability to oversee multiple projects and prioritize them according to importance and urgency
Conducting preventive maintenance on all packaging equipment
Possessing basic computer skills
