Mental Health Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-C)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-C) will oversee the delivery of treatment, coordination of care, treatment planning and proper documentation of all service delivery for consumers receiving outpatient mental health clinic services. They will also provide weekly board approved clinical supervision for staff along with formal and informal feedback to all supervisees and provide a quarterly written evaluation of supervisees’ progress.

Schedule: (Flexible workweek) up to 10hour per month; flexible schedule as determined by agency and supervisees’ needs.

Salary/Wages: $55.00 per hour for a flat rate fee of $550 per month. This is to provide supervision for up to 3 supervisees and review and sign off on their respective documentation.

This is an Independent Contractor role 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide Board approved supervision and leadership for assigned practitioners to include reviewing clinical work products and providing individual feedback.

• Provide (1) one-hour individual weekly to assigned supervisees.
• Provide (1) one-hour group monthly to assigned supervisees.
• Sign Supervision agreements with supervisees.
• Conduct quarterly quality reviews of client charts, including progress notes, treatment plans, and chart completeness in accordance with program policy.
• Bi-Weekly meetings with Executive staff and participate in monthly staff meetings.
• Supervise psychotherapists, therapists, and counselors and include a review of progress notes to ensure services are being delivered in accordance with required treatment plan guidelines, and a review of whether progress notes meet signature and content standards.
• Make recommendations to RMBHS leadership for improving treatment protocols to better meet the needs of consumers.
• Ensure ITPs are developed, reviewed, and signed on a consistent basis
• Ensure accuracy of assessment and referral skills
• Support practitioners with emergent clinical needs and assist with training on work related duties to include proper documentation protocols within the RMBS’ electronic health record.
• Review and sign clinical documents drafted by other members of the staff as requested
• Review and sign assessments/evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries and incident reports.
• Review and sign all referrals for internal and external services to assure appropriate coordination of care and collaboration
• Collaborate with the leadership, treatment team and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings on a weekly basis
• Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, RMBHS policies and other regulatory authorities governing the service delivery and documentation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to sit for several hours
• Ability to frequently utilize the computer and other office technology
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to travel to various program locations
• Ability to work evenings and some weekends

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, and mental health counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university
• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical social worker [LCSW-C] 
• At least two years post graduate experience in a clinical setting and be State eligible to serve as a Social Work Supervisor and/or be a Board approved Supervisor in Social Work
• Strong foundation of clinical skills
• Excellent oral communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database maintenance
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role, preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite and EHR
• Proficient knowledge of COMAR and CARF
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
