Carpenter- Commercial Contractor

Responsibilities:

Precision Craftsmanship:

• • Follow the directions of the Project Superintendent or Foreman to perform various building tasks.
  • Construct, install, and repair structures around the project site.
  • Work with precision, ensuring accurate measurements and high-quality finishes.
  • Use hand tools, machines, or power saws to shape or cut materials to specified measurements.
  • Assemble and fasten materials to create sturdy frameworks or props.

Versatility:

• • Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and trim.
  • Erect scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Inspect ceiling or floor tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structure

Blueprint Interpretation:

• • • Translate specifications from blueprints, sketches, or building plans into actionable tasks.
    • Determine dimensions and materials required for each project.

Installation and Repair:

• • Install windows, frames, flooring, trim, and hardware using carpenter’s hand or power tools.
  • Verify the trueness of structures using plumb bobs and levels.
  • Repair damaged structures as needed.

Material Management:

• • Collaborate supervisor to select and order required materials.
  • Efficiently receive and offload materials, ensuring safety and proficiency.

Safety Conscious: Adheres to established safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Age: Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of carpentry work, experience on construction sites a plus. 
• Skills: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Team Player: Collaborates effectively with colleagues and subcontractors.
• Dependability: consistently on-time for work, following PTO policies. 
• Can work regular hours ex,  7:30-4:30am, and some weekends. 

• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage ($20-28, depending on experience).
