The Metal Finishing Line Operator is responsible for all industry and prime aerospace type and classes of metal finishing as well as maintaining production throughput in accordance with customer and quality requirements. This includes, but not limited to, racking, and moving metal parts through various chemical solutions to achieve customer desired specifications.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Adhere to production safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Operate process equipment, including but not limited to, hoists, compressed air dryers, vapor degreasers, controllers, timers, ion exchange and precision measurements tools.
Identify and select appropriate holding racks and fixtures best suited to efficiently process parts.
Attach fixtures to load bars, ensuring racks are secure and accurately placed with consideration to part characteristics and position/depth in the tank.
Process loads in accordance with precise specifications by frequently and effectively communicating with the Line Supervisor and other operators.
Ensure product is accurately processed to the specified technique.
Identify and proactively notify the Line Supervisor of problems such as excessive oil,
corrosion, deep and blind holes, areas that may air pocket etc.
Ensure work area is consistently free of potential hazards in an environment with occasional
exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Coordinate all loads with the Line Supervisor to optimize tank time usage.
Complete all applicable data records and documents to sustain traceability of work
performed.
Document and maintain accurate information logs (e.g., temperature, immersion times).
Proactively monitor solution levels in tanks and communicate any potential issues to the lab.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
Proactively report any equipment problems to the Line Supervisor.
Strive for consistency from load to load and shift to shift by means of communication and
teamwork.
Provide direction and guidance to chemical processing helpers as needed.
Cross functionally supports other lines or work areas as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, training, and audits as necessary.

Attention to detail and care in handling customer parts and test equipment is required.
Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks with consistent accuracy while adhering to
customer deadlines.
Adapt to frequent changes in a highly variable and challenging work environment.
Identify, organize, and recognize physical differences and similarities between parts.
Learn to use equipment to measure dimensional changes.
Able to operate standard equipment such as pumps and cranes.
Able to understand basic waste management and environmental systems.
Closely follow and understand all applicable protocols and instructions.
Ability to learn and use custom production software.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience in a production environment, racking, or chemical processing experience is preferred.
PC literate with at least a basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
Basic arithmetic skills (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
Individual must be authorized to work in the U.S. under one of the following criteria: 1. A citizen
of the United States, 2. A lawful permanent resident, 3. A non-citizen National of the United States.
