Job Description

Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a Materials Planning/Scheduling Manager at our Chandler, AZ location.

Compensation: $110K-125K

Work Arrangement: Onsite

THE ROLE:

The Materials Planning/Scheduling Manager oversees the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization. This role also oversees scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and materials effectively.

  • An experienced scheduler, who's worked with a multitude of various shipping companies including UPS, DHL, and FedEx.
  • Material handler, who's worked with both domestic and international shipping and has experience with Hazmat shipping.
  • Previous direct report supervision.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing procurement/Scheduling and inventory leadership in the facility while overseeing the planning, scheduling, shipping, and receiving.
  • Oversee/manage production scheduling & planning to drive efficient daily plant operations.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to identify and support opportunities for sales and operations targets.
  • Partner with Plant management and Operations towards the accurate and timely manufacturing and distribution of products, driving On-Time to Request and Lead Time performance improvements for the customer.
  • Highly proactive and committed team player, flexible, and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Recommends improvement to reduce cost and drive productivity with the materials department while achieving the targetted Sales to Service Goals.
  • Set up/maintain internal Kanban markets for key WIP material to facilitate efficient operations and improve customer-facing metrics.
  • Maintains inventory and product loss control, coordinates timely and accurate shipping and receiving, and meets safety/operational guidelines.
  • Maintain cycle count standard work goals with the long-term objective of achieving cycle count certification.
  • Led annual Physical Inventory process, including prework, preparation, execution, and post-inventory analysis.
  • Provide leadership in selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to improve the team and plant performance. Manage suppliers and service providers that support plant operations.
  • Participate as a critical stakeholder in the S&OP process, including analysis, improvement recommendations, and execution to support company sales and operations targets.
  • Communicate risks and mitigation plans on time and track and expedite critical orders as needed.
  • Engages in the typical responsibilities of a supervisor requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating.
  • Lead projects and facilitate meetings supporting planning and procurement-control stock levels to meet production schedules within targeted goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business, or similar degrees- preferred.
  • 3-6 years in direct material purchasing, planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • High Mix/Short Lead-Time products manufacturing experience desired.
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills are required, along with a strong work ethic and sound business judgment.
  • Knowledge of materials management and processes is required.
  • Experience with visual management/Kanban systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and collaborative management skills are a must.
  • Knowledge of accounting practices as applied to procurement procedures is preferred.
  • A working knowledge base of ERP systems and MRP processes.
  • Prior SAP experience is a plus; however, will train according to skill level.
  • Intermediate-Advance Microsoft Office Skills
  • Innovative and "out of the box" problem-solving skills; adaptable and self-directed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
