We are seeking a mid-level practitioner to join our team to provide outpatient primary care services to our senior population at our Grand Prairie, TX clinic!

Job Summary:

A Mid-Level Practitioner is responsible for handling patient appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure patient health. Their duties include speaking with Valora’s patients about healthy lifestyle choices for their age, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses, and coordinating with clinic staff to maintain updated medical records.

A Mid-Level Practitioner may include a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, assess, and treat patients’ medical conditions.
  • Order lab and other diagnostic testing and interprets results.
  • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
  • Collect, record, and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history, and reports.
  • Perform minor procedures
  • Explain procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.
  • Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
  • Promote health education in conjunction with other health professionals.
  • Meet targets set by the government for specified treatments.
  • Discuss and evaluate new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives.
  • Keep up to date with medical developments, treatment, and medication.
  • Appropriately and timely document patient encounters.

Qualifications/Education

  • Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Current Texas medical license and Federal DEA license (required)
  • 2+ years of clinical work experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish/Hindi is a plus
  • Proficient experience using EMR system, eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus
  • Fantastic counseling and listening skills
  • Superb organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills and communication
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate nature with the ability to make patients feel at ease
