Position Summary: Valor Health is a 16 bed Critical Access Hospital located in Emmett, Idaho which provides Emergency Services, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Labor & Delivery, Infusion, Swing Bed and Surgical Services including, Podiatry, Orthopedic and General Surgeries.

In order to meet the new needs of our community, Valor Health has an immediate PRN opening for a Sonographer.
As a sonographer, you will operate ultrasound equipment for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes, assist and care for patients during exams. As a Sonographer, you will perform procedures on patients of all ages, according to approved protocols, ultrasound and/or radiation safety. Evaluate the appropriateness of requested exams to assist Radiologists and referring Providers. Maintain knowledge of equipment, instruments & supplies pertinent to high quality exams. Job position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strengths must include strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Applicants should possess a positive, professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
Requirements:Experience with the following equipment and software is preferred:
- Philips EPIQ 7G
- Cerner, DR systems, NovaRad PACS
Position Qualifications/Requirements:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Preferred experience of two years in a hospital setting
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Working Environment – General Patient Care Environment
- Standing for long periods, lift or turn patients, bending, twisting and sitting
- Possible exposure to body fluids
- Possible radiation exposure
- Other duties as assigned
