Job Description

·         seeking a Handyman & Maintenance to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery and help us keep our RV Parks in top shape.

Responsibilities:

·         Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery and pipeline distribution systems

·         Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment

·         Perform routine preventative maintenance 

·         Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion 

·         Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

·         Coordinates the work of other facilities services technicians in the completion of maintenance work orders; and cleaning tasks and assists others with complex tasks.

·         Implements preventive and reactive maintenance plans and completes these tasks for all building systems.

·         Maintains inventory of parts and supplies for facilities repairs; orders materials as needed.

·         Main point of contact for the client organization.

·         Communicate with the client’s facilities team members, employees, stakeholders and building ownership team members as needed daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

·         Develop proactive and productive relationships with all of the clients,  employees, visitors.

·         Monitors, maintains and performs standard repairs to building electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, cooling systems, and all other building systems.

·         Monitors, maintains and performs all necessary cleaning labor and tasks.

·         Prepares job estimates for customers including time and materials costs.

·         Performs quality inspections on work completed by other facilities services technicians and vendors.

·         Prepares and maintains records on all maintenance activities.

·         Oversees the work of employees in supporting roles, including assigning workload and monitoring employee performance.

·         Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

·         Provide safety coordination, training, and oversight for all building maintenance systems and activities.

·         Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

·         Prepare reporting for all facilities-related activities or projects.

·         Manage the spending for all labor, supplies, and vendors to ensure they do not exceed the budget. lean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc.

·         Perform maintenance and light repairs

·         Perform routine landscaping on the grounds

·         Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)

·         Undertake light installation or carpenting (e.g. build cabinets)

·         Repair equipment or appliances

·         Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs

·         Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)

·         Identify and report the need for major repairs

Qualifications and Abilities:

·         High school education or equivalent

·         10+ years of working experience in facilities maintenance

·         Possess technical training and/or certifications.

·         Should possess strong manual dexterity.

·         Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.

·         Ability to prepare technical documents, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.

·         Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards.

·         Ability to complete create, maintain, and report maintenance and cleaning data in written and electronic formats.

·         Ability to create written reports, emails, notes, and other forms of information.

·         Knowledge of facilities services including cleaning, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utility operations, building maintenance, carpentry, and finish work.

·         Ability to use hand and power tools.

·         Ability to lead and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

·         Ability to repair and maintain appliances and heating and cooling equipment.

·         Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

·         Organizing and coordinating skills.

·         Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Requirements and skills

·         Proven experience as handyman

·         Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment

·         Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems

·         Basic math skills

·         Good communication ability

·         Well-organized and apt in problem-solving

·         Attention to detail

·         Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify any issues that may require repair or maintenance.

·         Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing plumbing issues, repairing electrical issues, and addressing HVAC problems.

·         Conduct repairs on equipment such as furniture, doors, and windows.

·         Assemble and install fixtures such as shelves, curtains, and cabinets.

·         Detect and troubleshoot problems with equipment or buildings and liaise with contractors to ensure repairs are completed within a reasonable time frame.

·         Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment at all times.

·         Manage inventory of repair supplies and equipment and ensure that all stocks are replenished as needed.

·         Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections carried out.
