HVAC Technician for Direct Hire

We are seeking a Commercial or Industrial HVAC Technician for direct hire role with a top tier mechanical company in Birmingham, AL
 

• Pay is $30 -$45/h depending on experience and certification

Duties and Responsibilities HVAC Technician

• Safely performs tasks of the highest complexity within the maintenance, service and repair of cooling systems and their associated components.
• The technician performs diagnostics, maintenance and service repairs on air- and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, rotary screw chillers, large built-up systems, cooling towers as well as complex modifications of associated systems and components.
• Diagnoses, repairs, replaces, adjusts, and monitors controls on chillers and associated components for various manufacturers, i.e. York, McQuay, Trane, Carrier, etc.
• Uses various fault detection and diagnostic measurement tools to test and inspect equipment including, but not limited to, air flow, static pressure, fluid flow, refrigerant diagnostics and wet/dry bulb temperature.
• May repair and service other types of air-conditioners, ranging from split/package units, water source units, etc.

Qualifications for HVAC Technician:
 

• 2 or more years of actual commercial/industrial HVAC experience as it relates to chiller systems 
• Ability and willingness to travel to attend training directly related to increasing job related skills.
• Ability to support after hour emergencies and planned activities as need.
• Valid driver license and fairly clean MVR is required
• Universal EPA or CFC certification is highly prefered.
• Must be available for some overtime, on-call, and weekend work, especially during spring and summer.
