Position – Materials & Inventory Specialist

Job Location – Somerset, WI

Employment Term – Direct Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st Shift

Starting Pay –$19-25/hr Depending on Experience

Required Education – High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience – At least 3 years of experience

In this position you are responsible for transacting inventory through receipts, issues, and physical inventories. Make sure the demands are met for the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of material transactions on the computerized manufacturing system.
• Assist with filing of assorted forms (i.e. purchase orders, transfer tickets and requisitions).
• Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Receives, stocks, and picks inventory for issuance to the floor or requisitioner.
• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Assist in training and mentoring others in the department.
• Performs cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure on-hand accuracies & problem-solving.
• Verifies and keeps records on incoming & outgoing shipments.
• Count, weigh, and measure items for incoming & outgoing shipments.

Qualifications

• High school or GED.
• Ability to learn computer software for inventory control.
• 3-5 years of computerized manufacturing and inventory software experience.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
