ABOUT THE ROLE

The Material Specialist is responsible for coordinating product delivery to ensure manufacturing has raw materials on hand at the facility.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Records all inter-site movement of raw materials daily.
  • Responsible for ensuring all original, hard copy BOLs from 3M, Gillibrand, OMYA, and Trumbill are entered in the software system daily with input on production schedule data.
  • Communicates with the manager when schedule changes have been made using the schedule notification process.     
  • Reviews product schedules to coordinate raw material delivery, making decisions on the most cost-effective/ timely mode.
  • Arranges with vendors directly to ensure manufacturing has raw material on hand.
  • Works closely with the corporate office, coordinating appropriate delivery of materials as necessary.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree

Field of Study Preferred: supply chain management, transportation

Required Work Experience: 2-3 years

Travel Requirements: NA

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
