Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Logistics Specialist opportunities in Naperville, IL. Responsibilities for a Logistics Specialist include but are not limited to: 
  • Perform order entry, load planning, routing, and dispatching using Freight Optimizer and logistics systems

  • Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring on-time performance and proper shipment handling

  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and account managers regarding shipment status, delays, and updates

  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies including shortages, damages, and overages while maintaining accurate records

Candidates for Logistics Specialist must meet the following requirements to be considered: 
  • Minimum 1 year of logistics or transportation experience with exposure to dispatching or load coordination

  • Working knowledge of transportation, supply chain operations, and routing processes

  • Strong ability to multitask, problem-solve, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to interpret written, verbal, and operational instructions
