ASI is seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist to support Naval Aviation logistics and sustainment activities in Cherry Point, NC. The Senior Logistics Specialist will perform tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon system supportability, maintainability, and logistics programs and information systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform senior-level logistics support for military aircraft, weapon systems, support equipment, and associated systems
  • Evaluate and identify weapon system logistics requirements and resources to support readiness and sustainment objectives
  • Support the development, evaluation, and improvement of logistics support and maintainability programs and plans
  • Perform maintenance planning, logistics support analysis, supportability analysis, and related Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities
  • Collect, compile, analyze, investigate, research, and apply logistics, maintenance, acquisition, technical, or financial data and information
  • Develop, modify, prepare, review, or validate documentation related to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems and management information systems
  • Review and analyze maintenance concepts, procedures, requirements, and logistics support data to identify opportunities to improve readiness
  • Support Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), and other maintenance and supportability assessments
  • Research and analyze supply support requirements, material availability, provisioning data, and support equipment requirements
  • Support analysis of maintenance and operational data to identify readiness degraders, systemic support issues, and potential corrective actions
  • Prepare reports, briefings, technical documentation, and recommendations in support of logistics reviews, program reviews, and other technical meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of extensive experience performing logistics, maintenance, sustainment, or related support functions for military weapon systems
    • Experience with weapon system logistics requirements, maintainability programs, supportability analysis, maintenance planning, or related IPS/ILS activities
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze logistics, maintenance, acquisition, technical, or financial data and develop recommendations in support of DoD weapon systems/equipment
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline
    • Relevant degrees include Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Operations Management, Business Management, Management Science, Program Management, Purchasing Management, Procurement/Acquisitions, Contracts Management, or a related logistics discipline
    • 6 additional years of qualifying work experience, or an Associates degree plus 4 additional years of qualifying work experience, may be substituted for a Bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in:
    • Naval Aviation maintenance or logistics
    • Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) or Fleet Support Team (FST)
    • Integrated Product Support (IPS) / Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
    • maintenance planning, LORA, LSA, provisioning, supply support, support equipment, or DMSMS/obsolescence management
    • Defense Acquisition
  • Familiarity with Naval Aviation logistics, maintenance, supply, or readiness data systems
