Responsibilities:
- Ensure cylinders are properly assembled according to drawings, blueprints, and test instructions on work orders.
- Use hand tools, overhead cranes, pneumatic assembly tools, and torque wrenches to assemble cylinders
- Assemble, test, and tag all cylinders.
- Operation of 5000 psi test stand.
- Familiar with small and very large hydraulic cylinders and sealing systems
- Clean and organize work area daily
- Observe safety at all times
- Any other shop related duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications/experience requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to prioritize jobs.
- Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Mechanical background
- Ability to read basic blueprints.
- Able to read a tape measure and calipers
- Prior heavy assembly experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail is critical

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Equipment:
- Micrometers measuring tools.
- Calipers measuring tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to read tape measures.
- Knowledge of how seals hold pressure.
- Ability to assemble cylinders, dry test, and check dimensions for accuracy.
