Your role as a Production Assemblers

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, or parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and measuring devices such as tapes, rulers and pressure gauges.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Perform visual inspection of raw materials and products using magnifiers and microscopes.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Using grind equipment to ensure proper tolerance and finish.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Read and interpret electronic/hydraulic schematics, blue prints, and engineering and weld drawings a plus. Must have a clear understanding of general math (including fractions and decimals) and have the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor. Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of manufactured parts and reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, including assisting co-workers when required. Grip continuously-for tool use, and parts handling. Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform the requisite manufacturing duties. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
