Grounds Maintenance Laborer

Job Description                                                        JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title:                      Ground Maintenance Laborer (11210) Reports To:                          Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Position Location:              US Army, Camp Park Reserve Forces Training Area, Dublin, California Work Days/Time:                Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, Occasional evening and/or weekend hours Hourly Wage:                       $18.29 per hour, with benefits Qualifications: Must have a disability documented in writing by a physician licensed in the State of CA. as credentialed to diagnose and capable of diagnosing, the specific disability or a written certification of disability by a CA State rehabilitation agency. Must pass a government security clearance upon application as well as subsequent background checks and not be subject revocation of facility access during the term of employment.

Must possess a valid California Drivers licenses for the duration of employment. Duties: Manual labor associated with the daily maintenance and repair of government-owned facilities, vehicles, and property. Workers in this job classification are under immediate supervision and perform various duties requiring: moderate moving and transporting items up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally moving or maneuvering heavier items with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers; moving one’s self about the work area as needed.  Conducting general grounds maintenance such as weed eating, leave blowing, storm drain cleaning, and mowing fields. Skills such as riding on mowers, training will be provided.

Routine repair/maintenance tasks as directed by Supervisor or Journeymen and any other tasks Management may deem to assign as business needs dictate. Training : A comprehensive training is provided to all workers. Job assignments are made according to entry skills and/or successful completion of various elements of the training program. Entry-level job assignments will normally be within the category of routine work.
