JobResponsibilities:

  • Understand contract requirements and customer expectations.

  • Thorough knowledgeis basedon budgetary responsibilities and financial responsibilities.

  • Determineandmaintainthe necessary andappropriate amountof personnel and equipment necessary to fulfill these requirements.

  • While understanding the work requirements, plan and organize the most efficient use of resources to meet these requirements through development and analysis of employee and equipment work schedules.

  • Direct and control people and equipment to efficiently complete the tasks within established company standards.

  • This is achieved through disciplinedfollowingwork schedules in line with established company standards.

  • Know company policies and interpret manualstorelate the interpretations to subordinates.

  • Monitor and/or conduct required training of personnel.

  • Conduct employee performance evaluations.

  • Provide employee counseling and discipline as needed.

  • Be responsible forthe security of company funds, supplies, and equipment.

  • Be responsible forensuring compliance with established company safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintain working relationships with customers and provide prompt responses to service requests.

  • Actively search for and report to stationmanagement forfuture business opportunities.

All AGI Team members have a responsibility and duty while at work to:

  • Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions while at work.

  • Cooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform orcomply withany legal requirements imposed on the company.

  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, wellbeing, safety, security,or welfare reasons.

  • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity thatrepresentsa serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security.

  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures.

  • Carry out workin accordance withinformation and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.

  • Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.

  • Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time.

  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.

  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations

  • Mayrequire occasional travel.

MinimumRequirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Mustpossessa valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Report/ MVR.

  • Must pass a drug test, background check, and be able toobtain airport security clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Three years' progressive management experience in cargo/freighthandlingincluding customer service or bachelor's degree in business.

  • Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations, including standard securityprogramsand OSHA regulations.

  • Working knowledge of variousaircrafttypes.

  • Familiar with GSE maintenance procedures.

  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts.

  • Computer skillsarerequired.

  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.

Alliance Ground International provides airline cargo handling services to 55 airlines at thirteen airports: Atlanta, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Kansas City, LaGuardia, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York JFK, Orlando, Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Warehouse and ramp operations schedules are constantly adjusted to flight operations. Adjustments are made monthly, weekly, and in many cases, hourly. Facilities and equipment, forklifts dock lifts and roller systems, are purchased assets of and are routinely maintained more frequently than manufacturer recommendations to insure the life and optimal working performance of all equipment.
