EU Aviation Sustainability and Policy Specialist 4AIR is seeking an experienced ESG and Sustainability professional to lead the development and execution of environmental strategy, policy monitoring, regulatory intelligence, and sustainability solutions supporting business aviation stakeholders and Fortune 500 organisations. This role will serve as a subject matter expert on emerging sustainability regulations, voluntary frameworks, carbon markets, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), emissions reporting, and ESG best practices. The individual will work across clients, industry partners, environmental committees, and internal teams to ensure 4AIR remains at the forefront of aviation sustainability while delivering innovative solutions that help organisations achieve their environmental goals. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyse emerging global, regional, national and US federal, and state sustainability regulations, aviation policies, emissions reporting requirements, and environmental standards. Maintain an ongoing ESG policy watch programme to identify risks, opportunities, and impacts for business aviation operators and corporate clients. Prepare regulatory updates, white papers, client briefings, and executive summaries. Advise leadership and clients on evolving sustainability requirements and market developments. Sustainability Strategy Development Lead the development of sustainability strategies for business aviation operators, aircraft owners, corporate flight departments, and industry partners. Support clients in establishing decarbonisation goals, SAF adoption strategies, carbon reduction initiatives, and sustainability roadmaps. Develop tailored solutions that align with client operational, financial, and environmental objectives. Evaluate opportunities related to carbon credits, environmental attributes, and sustainability certification programmes. Environmental Committee & Industry Engagement Represent 4AIR on industry working groups, committees, and sustainability forums. Collaborate with aviation associations, regulatory bodies, fuel suppliers, operators, and corporate sustainability leaders. Contribute to industry best practices, position papers, and policy recommendations. Build and maintain strategic relationships that enhance 4AIR's leadership position within the aviation sustainability space. ESG Disclosure & Reporting Support Support clients with ESG disclosures, sustainability reporting, and environmental performance communications. Assist with reporting frameworks and stakeholder disclosures. Develop reporting methodologies, data collection processes, and sustainability metrics. Ensure reporting aligns with industry standards and evolving stakeholder expectations. Fortune 500 Sustainability Solutions Partner with Fortune 500 organisations to develop and implement aviation sustainability programmes for flight Support corporate sustainability teams in addressing Scope 3 aviation emissions and business travel impacts. Design and deliver solutions involving SAF, emissions reduction strategies, carbon accounting, and sustainability claims. Serve as a trusted advisor to corporate sustainability leaders and executive stakeholders. Business Development & Thought Leadership Support client engagement activities, proposals, and strategic partnerships. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business, Economics, Aviation Management, or related field. 2+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, environmental policy, aviation sustainability, consulting, or related disciplines. Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, corporate sustainability programmes, emissions accounting, and climate-related initiatives. Experience analysing sustainability regulations and emerging policy developments. Excellent written, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to translate complex environmental topics into practical business solutions. Proficiency with Microsoft office suite Preferred Advanced degree in Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Business Administration, or related field. Experience within aviation, aerospace, transportation, or energy sectors.
