Maintenance Technician

This position is responsible for performing building maintenance and ongoing repairs on manufacturing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• CNC machine repair and maintenance (i.e. belts, bearings, etc.)
• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors and position sensing devices etc.
• Install and maintain pneumatic equipment systems.
• Work with supervisor to coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Schedule and coordinate projects at other locations
• Requisition supplies.
• General building maintenance (i.e. repair doors, lights, ballasts, etc.)
• Repair and maintain physical structures of buildings.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, drains and systems.
• Perform surface preparation, painting and other types of interior wall applications.
• Increase knowledge and awareness of safety for yourself and others throughout the workplace.
• Estimate time required to do projects or jobs.
• Report all safety concerns, hazards and incidents.
• Follow ergonomically correct standards in workspace.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Housekeeping
• Commitment to Standard Work and willingness to create a positive impact.
• Complete any safety or OSHA training as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years' experience in CNC machinery/manufacturing maintenance
• Vocational Certificates and/or experience in the following: (Electrical, HVAC, PLC and Plumbing)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
• Work safely
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maneuver safely on ladders and / or man lifts, forklifts and bucket trek.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and carry 50 to 100 lbs.
• Bend, stoop or squat.
• Ability to reach, grasp and pull.
• Ability to walk on hard surfaces (such as concrete) for majority of the workday.
• Ability to work at heights.

Environment & Physical Working Conditions:

• Majority of work to occur in indoor warehouse environment.
• Some exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures (outdoors)
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Exposure to loud noises
• Exposure to heights
• Ability to work overtime as needed or required
• Travel to other locations within local/metro area required (company vehicle provided during work hours)

License(s)and/or Certificates(s):

• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• machinery/ manufacturing: 3 years (Required)
• Electrical: 2 years (Preferred)
• HVAC: 2 years (Preferred)
• Plumbing: 2 years (Preferred)
• PLC: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

Salary: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
