About The Role

As our first dedicated QA specialist, you will have the opportunity to make important contributions to various aspects of one of the most ambitious generative AI projects around. 

About You
You are a self-motivated, detail-oriented problem solver! You enjoy putting yourself in the user’s shoes to plan and test out all the different ways they would use (or misuse!) the product. You are easy to talk to. You provide frank opinions about the products’ usability and opportunities for improvement, but you also keep an open mind. Not only do you have a strong sense of ownership, but you thrive on it. You can work independently and in a team. You love working in a fast-paced environment. You have high technical standards, but you also know when to be scrappy: you are goal-oriented and you prioritize getting results.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining and implementing QA standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Develop and execute comprehensive manual testing plans to identify usability issues and product-centric bugs in the software
  • Proactively perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected issues and usability concerns
  • Document and regularly communicate findings to the Product team and work with them to improve the software
  • Provide suggestions about how to improve usability of product based on usability best practices 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements to ensure they are met
  • Collaborate with engineers to devise automated test plans
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience independently running manual and exploratory tests, ideally with a product design team
  • Experience in product design, or a strong sense of design and understanding of product design process
  • Strong understanding of usability heuristics and a good eye for user-friendly design
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams of designers, ML engineers, and product managers
  • Experience with agile development
  • Bonus points: Experience doing accessibility testing
