Field Supervisor at Kennedy Painting

Kennedy Painting is seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Supervisor to join our team. As a Field Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our office and production teams, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional quality control throughout our projects. This Field Supervisor position receives a base salary and bonus package ranging from $65,000 - $80,000 a year plus benefits. Our benefits include health, life, dental, vision, paid time off (PTO + holidays), weekly pay, retirement plan, company vehicle, phone, iPad and paid training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position can manage anywhere from 5-10 jobs simultaneously with over 20 painters being managed
  • Supervise jobs in progress, maintaining quality control and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the office and field teams, facilitating clear communication and coordination.
  • Attend to customer needs and concerns, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of job site safety protocols and ensure compliance at all times.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge of products and equipment, including ladders, sprayers, and power washers.
  • Manage job preparation procedures and oversee the efficient allocation of resources.
  • Estimate and sell additional work orders to clients as opportunities arise.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field staff, including training and performance evaluations.
  • Enforce company policies and maintain employee discipline as necessary.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in job site safety standards and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of painting products and equipment.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver ladders and power equipment effectively.
  • Familiarity with job preparation processes and quality control measures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and address issues promptly.

CLIENT CONTACT:

  • Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Coordinate contract signing, color consultations, and scheduling notifications.
  • Maintain quality control and ensure timely completion of touch-ups.
  • Estimate and sell additional work orders to clients as opportunities arise.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone and email.

FIELD CONTACT:

  • Communicate job schedules to crew leaders and painters, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Assist crew leaders with material and equipment needs for projects.
  • Order materials and paint as required for jobs.
  • Maintain efficient and profitable jobs while upholding quality and consistency.
  • Visit job sites regularly to provide support and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Train field staff and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including employee discipline.
  • Collect timesheets and conduct spot checks as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling and managing changes to the production schedule.
  • Provide scope of work to crew leaders and ensure customer satisfaction at the beginning of each job.
  • Produce daily records of job status and communicate changes to the office.

FIELD SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a managerial position at a professional painting company

  • Experience Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with scheduling or CRM software
  • Experience in systems development
  • Familiarity with Sigma Six or LEAN Principles is a plus

  • A valid driver's license
  • Car insurance and vehicle to drive to the job site
  • Able to use and lift ladders up to 32 ft.
