Job Description

Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm in office & Friday 8am-12pm hybrid after training

Pay rate: $20-28/hour

We are hiring an Accounts Receivable Coordinator for an engineering firm. You will play a vital role in managing financial transactions related to accounts receivable within the organization. Focus on collecting payments, tracking accounts, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.

What You Will Do:

Manage incoming payments from customers
Accurately track and record payments in the system
Work toward optimizing days outstanding and aging of accounts receivable
Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets
Update client information as needed
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly posted
Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment
Arrange payment plans when necessary
Create reports and balance sheets documenting overall profits and losses
Investigate and resolve any AR and collection issues

What You Need:

High school diploma/GED
2+ years working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role
Understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills
Basic-to-intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office software
Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience with Deltek Vision preferred
Experience in service industry, preferably in an engineering or architectural firm
